From 4/7 - 4-11/2008 6 line officers from three local departments attended the FDIC 2008 Convention in Indianapolis, IN.  The officers were Mark Secrist CVFA, Adam Mayock OVFD, Drew Jensen EVFD, C.R. Chance EVFD, Jamie McNeal EVFD, and Sonny Jones EVFD.  They received training on a wide range of topics that will benefit all of the officers and the companies they serve.  While returning from the convention, they had a photo op with Paul Teutul Sr. - pictured above.

At 09:56 on 3/3/2008 Sta. 50 and TCEMS were dispatched for an over turned tractor trailer on Reese's Landing Road.  E-51 (512 Dulin) and E-54 responded on the call.  The units arrived on location to find an truck transporting live chickens that had over turned in the ditch.   Their were no injuries and units cleared at 10:23. At 05:49 on 2/29/2008 Sta 50, 80, 60, and TCEMS were alerted for a house fire at 33536 Tuckahoe River Road.  U-57 (501 Secrist), E-54 (502 Messix), T-53 (504 Larmore), and E-52 (505 Hutchison) responded on the call from Sta. 50.  While enroute Talbot Center advised that it was a vehicle fire inside of an attached garage.  U-57 arrived on location with a vehicle outside of the garage with the fire knocked down.  E-54 continued up to the residence to extinguish the fire, while all other units staged on Rt. 328.  The situation was quickly placed under control.  Units were back in quarters at 06:53.

At 21:06 on 1/24/2008 Sta. 50, 80, 60, and TCEMS were dispatched for a reported working house fire at 12801 Richland Lane.  U-57 (501 Secrist), E-54 (503 Messix), T-53 (504 Larmore), E-51 (505 Hutchison), E-52 (511 Dulin), and A-50 responded on the call from Sta. 50.  U-57 arrived on location with a working fire in a 2 story residence with fire showing on the A and B sides and 501 assumed command.  The crew from E-54 pulled 2  1 3/4" hand lines to make an attack.   The crews from Sta. 80 and Sta. 60 assisted with suppression and extensive overhaul.  T-53, T-86, and T-61 supplied water to the scene.  Other units on the call were E-85, E-84, T-85, AT-61, T-61, E-63, E-67, and PM-93.  Thanks to Sta. 60 and Caroline Sta. 300 for providing standby crews.  The last units cleared the scene at 00:51. 

At 17:53 Sta. 50 was alerted on the intial alarm to assist Sta. 60 with a working house fire in the area of Black Dog Alley and Matthewstown Road.  Chief 60 arrived on location with a working fire and assumed command.  E-54 (501 Secrist) and T-53 (503 Messix) responded on the call.  The crew from E-54 laddered the B and D sides of the building then assisted with checking for extension in the attic of the house.  The crews helped with the extensive overhaul required to totally extinguish the fire.  Units were back in quarters at 20:30
