<p>At a 05:30 on July 12, 2011 Talbot Center dispatched Sta. 50 and PM-90 for a serious MVA with entrapment on Church Lane.&nbsp; When&nbsp;E-51 (501 Secrist) responded, Talbot Center advised the MVA was an overturned tractor trailer with confirmed entrapment.&nbsp; 501 added Sta. 80 for a rescue to the assignment.&nbsp; Engine 51 arrived on location with an overturned tractor trailer with heavy entrapment of the driver and assumed "Church Lane Command".&nbsp; The crews from E-51 and R-84 worked to remove the trapped driver in 15 minutes.&nbsp; Trooper 6 transported the driver to Shock Trauma.&nbsp; Command requested the pump off trailer from Talbot County and MDE to respond for the leaking saddle tanks.&nbsp; The crews also attempted to slow the leak of milk from the overturned trailer.&nbsp;&nbsp; The crew from Sta. 50 remained on scene during clean up and the uprighting of the truck, and returned to service at 12:30.&nbsp;</p>

Greg answered his last alarm on Tuesday April 12th. Greg was involved in an auto accident on Maryland Route 404 and Maryland Route 16 while returning home from his job as a paramedic for Delmar Fire Company.<br /><br />Greg has proudly served the Queen Anne- Hillsboro Fire Company for the past 6 years. He was very active serving in many positions and had served the company proudly in the role of EMS Captain. Greg was always involved in EMS and proudly served the fire company as one of their&nbsp;most active paramedics.<br /><br /><br />Greg was a brother and well known through out the Fire / EMS Service. Greg not only volunteered for Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company but he also was employed with the Goodwill Fire Company and Delmar Fire Company. Greg always provided excellent patient care with pride and dignity. <p>On 01/15/2011 Sta. 50, PM-90, and PM-96 were alerted at 05:23 for a serious MVA in the area of Rt. 309 and Three Bridge Branch Road.&nbsp; U-57 (503 Messix) arrived to find two vehicles involved and assumed Cordova Road Command.&nbsp; The crew from E-51 (501 Secrist) extricated the driver of the car, while the crews from R-61 and E-68 extricated 1 patient from the mini van.&nbsp; E-52 handled the LZ.&nbsp; The extricated patients were flown by Trooper 6 and Trooper 1 to the truama center.&nbsp; Three other patients were transported to Easton Memorial Hospital.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On 9/12/2010 the Talbot County Chief's Committee held the Tanker Task Force Drill.&nbsp; In Talbot County, a tanker task force consist of three shuttle tankers and two engines.&nbsp; If an incident is requiring a large volume of water, the incident commander can request&nbsp;one or multiple&nbsp;tanker task forces to supply water to the scene.&nbsp;&nbsp;This year the event was hosted by Sta. 20 in Oxford.&nbsp; Equipment from Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester Counties participated in the drill.&nbsp; The fill site for the drill was at a pond on the Talbot Country Club, which was setup by B-66.&nbsp; The dump site was located on Spring Road.&nbsp; At various times during the drill dump tanks, T-61, and T-36 were used as reservoirs for the incoming tankers.&nbsp; Thanks to Oxford VFD for hosting the event and the Oxford Ladies Auxiliary for fixing lunch.&nbsp;Additional photos are located in the 2010 Photo Gallery.</p>
